Election Commission data reveals 1.1 million names were removed from Delhi's electoral rolls between January 2025 and June 2026, representing 11.32% of the current 9.75 million electorate.
The deletions occurred across 16 months, with 0.3 million names removed during the pre-SIR mapping phase in May and June 2026 alone, despite some booth-level officers claiming they were barred from such actions.
Affected residents, including long-term voters, report being unaware of their removal until the special intensive revision process began, forcing them to register afresh using Form 6 to regain voting rights.
