Phoenix Suns forward Dillon Brooks was ejected with 8:05 left in the third quarter of an NBA Cup opener against Denver after a turnaround jumper resulted in a kick to Jamal Murray's groin.
Officials reviewed the play and upgraded the initial foul to a Flagrant 2, sending the forward to the locker room.
Brooks led Phoenix with 22 points on 9-of-12 shooting in approximately 20 minutes before his ejection, with his next game scheduled for Monday against the Warriors.
