Israel denounces French President Macron's UN remarks on West Bank

Israel rebuked French President Emmanuel Macron over his United Nations General Assembly speech criticizing Israeli actions and claiming Hamas has never struck the West Bank.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office termed the statement absurd, citing daily terrorist attacks and the recent shooting death of an Israeli settler.

U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee also criticized Macron's remarks, stating they were out of touch with reality.
