Thousands of students in Tirana attacked government buildings and clashed with riot police using tear gas and water cannons on the second day of violent anti-government protests.
Protesters set part of the education ministry on fire and targeted the prime minister's office, finance and interior ministries, and local businesses, leading to 16 arrests from Tuesday's demonstrations.
The protests form part of the ongoing Flamingo Revolution demanding Prime Minister Edi Rama resign over alleged corruption, sparked by a luxury tourism project involving Jared Kushner.
