India's cheetah population reached 52, including 32 cubs born in the country, as Project Cheetah marked its fourth anniversary on September 17, 2026.

Of the total population, 49 cheetahs are housed in Kuno National Park in Madhya Pradesh while three reside in the Gandhi Sagar Sanctuary.
