Telangana Assembly Suspends 20 BRS MLAs During Monsoon Session

The Telangana Assembly suspended 20 Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MLAs for the remainder of the monsoon session on September 9, 2026, following a motion moved by Legislative Affairs Minister D. Sridhar Babu.

Key suspended leaders include deputy floor leader T. Harish Rao and MLAs K.T. Rama Rao, G. Jagdishwar Reddy, and P. Sabita Indra Reddy, who protested at the Speaker's podium demanding justice.

Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy announced that IPS officer Vijay Kumar will lead an investigation into incidents occurring since September 6 and alleged conspiracies regarding remarks made against Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar.
