Harriton High School Suspends Varsity Football Season

Harriton High School has suspended its varsity football season due to low student participation and ongoing concerns regarding player safety and program sustainability.

The decision follows a 53-0 loss to Pottstown on August 28 and comes as the district awaits PIAA approval for a cooperative merger with Lower Merion’s football program.

While the varsity season is halted, school officials stated they are actively exploring the possibility of maintaining a junior varsity football schedule for the remainder of the year.
