The National Testing Agency (NTA) stated on Thursday that its answer key challenge fee of ₹200 per question is designed to discourage frivolous objections rather than generate profit.
The agency clarified that if a challenge is upheld by subject experts, the fee is refunded to the candidate and the corrected answer key is applied to all students who took the exam.
This policy follows recent public scrutiny regarding the NTA's handling of major examinations, including the NEET-UG paper leak and errors reported in the UGC-NET testing process.
