Zinedine Zidane Appointed as France National Football Team Head Coach

The French Football Federation appointed Zinedine Zidane as the new head coach of the national team on a four-year contract following Didier Deschamps' departure.

Deschamps exited the role after 14 years, concluding his tenure with a 6-4 defeat to England and a fourth-place finish at the 2026 World Cup.

Zidane, 54, will debut in a UEFA Nations League match against Turkiye before hosting Italy at the Stade de France on October 2.
