Jharkhand Student Leader Devendra Nath Mahto Ends 23-Day Hunger Strike

Student leader Devendra Nath Mahto ended his 23-day hunger strike in Ranchi on August 17 following government assurances regarding the JSSC-CGL exam cancellation.

The protest, which began on July 26, demanded accountability for exam irregularities and the immediate rescheduling of the state-level recruitment tests for thousands of aspirants.

The Jharkhand government has invited student representatives for a fourth round of talks on Monday to finalize a roadmap for the upcoming recruitment cycle.
