Visakhapatnam Introduces Japanese Fabric Art Kinusaiga

Art enthusiasts in Visakhapatnam recently explored Kinusaiga, a Japanese textile art form, during a workshop led by artist Anita Rao at Kshwe Boutique in Sagar Nagar.

The technique involves tucking fabric scraps into grooves on a foam base to create textured, mosaic-like pictures without stitching.

Boutique owner Shwetha Kumarappa hosted the event to create a quiet space where people can connect with handmade traditions alongside the boutique's custom tailoring unit.
