Four military pilots were killed when two SF-260 single propeller planes collided mid-air during a training flight at Fernando Air Base south of Manila.
Philippine Air Force spokesman Colonel Alvin Capinguian confirmed that both aircraft crashed within the base perimeter on Friday afternoon with no other casualties reported.
The air force launched an investigation into the mishap and temporarily grounded its entire fleet of SF-260 training aircraft as a precautionary measure.
