The death toll from flash floods in Nepal surpassed 1,404 on Wednesday, with rescue teams continuing searches for more than 6,150 missing people.
The disaster was triggered by an ice-rock avalanche near the Nepal-Tibet border on August 26, causing widespread destruction along the Bhotekoshi River.
