Education Ministry Forms Committee To Investigate Student Death At IIIT Ranchi

The Ministry of Education formed a three-member committee headed by Delhi University South Campus director Prof. Rajni Abbi to investigate a student's death at IIIT Ranchi.

The first-year student was found dead in his hostel room late on October 10, prompting campus protests and traffic blockades by students demanding administrative action.

The mandated committee will examine systemic gaps, basic facilities, counseling arrangements, and grievance redressal mechanisms to recommend measures preventing future incidents.
