Delhi Police Restricts Heavy Vehicle Entry Ahead of Independence Day

Delhi Police has issued a traffic advisory banning all heavy vehicles from entering the national capital from August 12 to August 15 to ensure security for Independence Day.

The restrictions apply to all entry points, including major corridors from Gurugram and Sonepat, with additional road closures planned for August 13 to facilitate rehearsals near the Red Fort.

Commuters are advised to check updated traffic routes and diversions, as security has been significantly beefed up across the city to prevent any untoward incidents during the celebrations.
