Search Continues for 22 Missing Crew of Sunken MV Ocean Winner

Indian Navy and Coast Guard teams are searching for 22 missing crew members after the Panama-flagged bulk carrier MV Ocean Winner sank in the Bay of Bengal on August 22, 2026.

The vessel, carrying iron ore from Paradip to China, sank 700 km east of Visakhapatnam, leaving only two rescued Chinese nationals and an oil slick as evidence of the incident.

Rescue operations remain ongoing for the remaining crew, which includes 20 Chinese, three Myanmar, and one Bangladeshi national, as authorities expand the search area despite diminishing hopes of finding survivors.
