
At least 109 migrants died and 116 went missing after a boat traveling from Djibouti to Yemen capsized near Guhere during the night of October 8–9.
The International Organisation for Migration stated that recovered bodies include 52 men, 42 women, and 15 children.
Over 80 Ethiopian nationals survived the shipwreck and are receiving emergency assistance at the Obock Migrant Response Centre.
