Wrestler Sujeet Kalkal overcame a 2-9 deficit against Tajikistan’s Abdulmazhid Kudiev to win 10-9 and capture the 65kg gold medal at the Asian Games.
Earlier in the day, Sujeet defeated Japan's Olympic champion Kotaro Kiyooka and Iran’s Abbas Ebrahimzadehsavadkouhi to advance to the final.
Sujeet followed in the footsteps of Bajrang Punia, who won gold in the same weight class at the 2018 Asian Games under the guidance of foreign coach Shako Bentinidis.
