CJP Demands Release of Detained NEET Protesters Nationwide

The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) demanded the immediate release of students detained during nationwide NEET-UG 2026 protests, citing government assurances made during recent negotiations.

CJP spokesperson Saurav Das reported arrests in Assam, West Bengal, and Bihar, urging the Centre to honour its commitment to provide a written guarantee against punitive action by July 28, 2026.

The agitation was suspended on July 25 following the resignation of former Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and an agreement to withdraw police cases against protesters.
