Flash floods along Nepal's Budhi Gandaki River on Sunday left at least five people missing after a landslide blocked the waterway and its natural dam subsequently burst.
The Nepal Army deployed helicopters and ground personnel, rescuing 49 people and mobilizing 437 security workers across the mountainous Gorkha district.
The disaster damaged about three dozen houses, bridges, and the construction site of the 381-megawatt Budhi Gandaki hydropower project.
