Riyadh airport hit by major flight disruptions after fuel tank fire

A fire broke out at an Aramco fuel storage tank near Riyadh's King Khalid International Airport on Saturday after residents reported hearing explosions.

Flightradar24 reported major issues, including cancellations and delays, placing the airport under its maximum disruption index of 5.0.

The disruptions followed an overnight air raid alert issued by Saudi authorities, marking the first such alert since fighting in neighboring Yemen intensified this month.
