Broward County Public Schools is evaluating the potential closure of 10 schools as part of its 2026-2027 'Redefining our Schools' initiative.
The district reported a 5.6% decline in enrollment, totaling 13,475 fewer students compared to 2025, with officials citing voucher programs and fewer immigrant families as contributing factors.
The school board, which previously closed six schools in January, has scheduled community meetings throughout September to gather feedback on the proposed consolidations.
