Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra May Drop 3x Telephoto Camera

Reports indicate Samsung will switch to a triple rear camera system for the Galaxy S27 Ultra, dropping the dedicated 3x telephoto lens.

The new setup will reportedly feature a 200MP main camera, a 50MP 5x telephoto shooter, and a 50MP ultrawide lens to cut manufacturing costs.

Industry sources suggest the decision stems from camera image quality reaching a technical saturation point, despite the 3x lens being useful for portrait and macro photography.
