Four Bodies Recovered After Avalanche on Pakistani Peak

Pakistani search crews recovered the bodies of three climbers after an avalanche struck a team of 10 mountaineers on the 8,047-metre Broad Peak in the Karakoram range.

The deceased include Pur Bahadur Gurung of Nepal, Nadhira Al Harthy of Oman, and Mallory Geis of the United States, while six others, including Nirmal Purja, remain missing.

The Gilgit-Baltistan regional government is coordinating rescue efforts for the remaining six climbers, though operations are hampered by the remote location and difficult weather conditions.
