US President Donald Trump announced a package to rescind nearly $1 billion in federal spending, targeting immigrant services, migrant education, and foreign programs.
The package includes $567 million in Department of Health and Human Services funding for services provided to non-citizens by non-governmental organizations.
The White House also targeted $25 million in Education Department funding for migrant student programs and $70 million for international education grants.
