Naman Dhir shines on T20I debut against West Indies

Naman Dhir took 3/31 on his T20I debut during the first match of a five-match series against the West Indies on Tuesday.

Krishnamachari Srikkanth asserted that Dhir's strong performance has effectively ended Washington Sundar's T20I chances and demonstrated that the Impact Player rule should be scrapped in the IPL.

Dhir played as a replacement player after scoring 318 runs in IPL 2026 without bowling a single over during the tournament.
