East Zone posted 467 runs behind Shahbaz Ahmed's 167 and enforced a follow-on after bowling out North East Zone for 111, with Abhijit Sarkar taking five wickets.

North East Zone finished the day at 7/0 in their second innings, still trailing East Zone by 349 runs in the first quarter-final match.
