Actor Hayden Panettiere Died From Accidental Drug Overdose, Coroner Says

Actor Hayden Panettiere died from an accidental overdose involving a combination of multiple drugs, including fentanyl, according to a coroner's statement released Tuesday.

The 36-year-old was found unresponsive on August 16 in an apartment in Greenville, South Carolina, where paramedics performed over 40 minutes of resuscitation efforts before she was declared dead.

The Greenville County Coroner’s Office stated that the autopsy also detected the presence of alprazolam, a muscle relaxer, and an antidepressant, while local police and family investigations remain ongoing.
