‘Gem Granites’ owner Veeramani taken into two-day police custody

A Special Court for POCSO cases granted the Special Investigation Team (SIT) two days of police custody for 'Gem Granites' owner R. Veeramani.

Veeramani, 84, is being questioned in connection with a second sexual abuse case registered based on a complaint by a minor's mother.

His counsel opposed the plea, arguing that the investigation was already exhaustive, but the court allowed the interrogation until Saturday.
