Australian batter Steve Smith scored 28 runs off 88 deliveries against South Africa in the second Test on Wednesday, becoming the third Australian to reach 11,000 Test runs.
Smith achieved the milestone in 226 innings, joining an elite group that includes Ricky Ponting and Allan Border, and is the twelfth player overall to reach the mark.
South Africa bowled Australia out for 99 runs in their first innings at St George's Park and enforced the follow-on to pressure the visitors.
