The Harmanpreet Kaur-led Indian women's cricket team defeated Sri Lanka by 72 runs to lift their record-extending eighth Asia Cup title in Dubai on Sunday.
Indian players declined to accept the trophy from Asian Cricket Council chairperson Mohsin Naqvi, repeating a similar boycott by the men's team last year.
Sri Lankan players received their runners-up checks and medals, while the Indian squad conducted an impromptu celebration on the dais without the physical prize.
