Three members of a family from Gujarat attempting illegal migration to the US have gone missing in Ethiopia after last contacting their relatives on September 22.
Family members approached agents who allegedly charged around ₹70 lakh each for the travel, and a man named Khan subsequently demanded a ₹1 crore ransom for their release.
Police registered a missing persons complaint and are investigating the circumstances as Gujarat authorities continue to track ongoing unauthorized migration operations.
