Apple launched its contactless payments platform, Apple Pay, in India, supporting Axis Bank-issued Visa and Mastercard credit cards initially.
The service works via NFC transactions at supported merchants such as Croma, Zomato, and Blinkit, using compatible iPhones, iPads, and Apple Watches.
Apple stated that actual card numbers are not stored on devices or servers, and users can manage security via the Find My app.
