Ansar Shaikh became India's youngest IAS officer in 2016 at age 21, securing All India Rank 361 on his first attempt at the UPSC Civil Services Examination.
Born in 1994 in Maharashtra's Jalna district, he overcame severe financial hardship and a background of poverty to graduate from Fergusson College, Pune, with 73 percent marks.
Currently serving as the Additional District Magistrate of Malda, West Bengal, Shaikh attributes his success to 12-15 hours of daily study and support from his family and coaching institutes.
