Hyundai Motor India launched its new manufacturing plant in Talegaon, Pune, and committed to investing Rs 11,000 crore by 2030 to boost car production capacity by nearly 90% to 3.2 lakh units annually.
The investment plan follows a global management commitment of $15.5 billion to India by 2032, with 60% of the Pune funds directed toward production, 20% to new technologies, and the rest to research and development.
The new facility will manufacture models like the Venue for global shipping and is expected to help Hyundai reclaim its second-spot position in the Indian car market.
