The leaders flagged off metro rail services between Porur Bypass and Poonamallee during the programme, which coincided with the beginning of Navratri.
Reflecting on his 25 years as head of government, Modi emphasized the pillars of democracy and reaffirmed his commitment to Tamil Nadu's development alongside Vijay.
