The Nagaland In-service Doctors Association (NIDA) has flagged severe irregularities at the Nagaland Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (NIMSR), including a lack of faculty in the Pediatric department.
NIDA warned that the institute's failure to recruit adequate teaching staff and its current administrative structure, managed by a lone Director-cum-Dean, risks de-recognition by the National Medical Commission.
The association is urging the state government to segregate administrative posts and follow established recruitment protocols to ensure the college meets the Minimum Standard Requirements for MBBS programs.
