Yemeni Forces Repel Houthi Attack in Taiz Province

Yemeni government forces, led by the 4th Infantry Hashd Brigade, repelled a Houthi militia attack on the al-Mafalis front in Taiz province on Thursday.

Government forces reported using heavy artillery and drones to strike Houthi reinforcements near al-Fakhir market in al-Dhalea, causing multiple casualties among the rebel group.

Presidential Leadership Council head Rashad al-Alimi stated on August 13, 2026, that the government will no longer accept truces and will provide a comprehensive response to all Houthi actions.
