Priya Rani, a 2024-batch IAS officer from a farming family, improved her UPSC rank from AIR 284 in 2021 to AIR 69 in the 2023 examination.
An electrical and electronics engineering graduate from BIT Ranchi, she previously worked in a corporate role in Bengaluru before leaving to pursue a career in civil services.
Currently serving as the Sub-Divisional Magistrate of Sasaram in Bihar, she was allotted the Bihar cadre following her successful second attempt at the UPSC exams.
