U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio will travel to India between October 17 and 22, following an initial stop in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, to discuss enhanced energy cooperation and strategic partnerships.
The upcoming visit includes planned stops in Mumbai and Jamnagar, marking Rubio's second trip to India since May following the Quad Foreign Ministers' meeting in New Delhi.
Mr. Rubio's stop in Jamnagar is significant because it houses Reliance Industries' refinery, recognized as the world's largest single-site facility with a processing capacity of 1.4 million barrels of crude oil daily.
