White House trade adviser Peter Navarro defended his criticism of India's trade policies, calling its purchase of Russian oil opportunistic and corrosive.
Navarro claimed his Financial Times op-ed helped reduce India's oil trade with Russia, which he accused of funding Moscow's war machine in Ukraine.
In response, India's external affairs ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal previously rejected Navarro's statements, calling them inaccurate and misleading.
