India Sends Fifth Aid Tranche to Flood-Hit Nepal

India dispatched its fifth aircraft carrying relief supplies and an 11-member rescue team to Nepal on September 2, 2026, to assist with ongoing flood disaster recovery efforts.

The latest shipment includes 5.5 tonnes of essential medicines, bringing India's total delivered relief materials to over 68 tonnes since the flash floods began on August 26, 2026.

Nepal police reported the death toll reached 1,127 on September 2, 2026, with 4,858 people still missing and 6,541 individuals successfully rescued by security forces across the affected regions.
