15 Dead After Ferry Capsizes on Lake Kariba

At least 15 people died and 27 remain missing after an overloaded ferry capsized on Zimbabwe's Lake Kariba on Tuesday following strong waves.

The vessel was carrying 114 registered adult passengers and five crew members, exceeding its 90-person capacity, while an unknown number of children were also on board.

Rescue efforts are ongoing with support from a Matusadona National Park helicopter and local army divers, though bad weather hampered the initial response to the incident.
