US UN envoy Mike Waltz and Cuba's foreign minister trade insults

US Ambassador Mike Waltz and Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla engaged in a heated verbal exchange at the UN on Tuesday.

Parrilla walked up to the podium and accused Waltz of dishonesty as the UN prepares to vote on condemning the US embargo against Cuba.

The confrontation escalated when Parrilla invoked a procedural rule and Waltz shouted at him to back away, leading to a suspension of the meeting.
