Palolem Beach in South Goa has been adjudged the best beach in Asia and ranked sixth globally in Beach.com's Global Beach Index 2026.
It is the only Asian beach to feature in the global top 25 list, evaluated based on expert nominations, visitor reviews, and NASA water clarity data.
State officials stated the recognition will support efforts to promote responsible tourism, heritage trails, and hinterland travel across Goa's coastline.
