Kevin Pietersen Appointed Mentor for England White-Ball Squads

England Test captain Joe Root confirmed the appointment of former teammate Kevin Pietersen as a specialist mentor for the white-ball squads ahead of next year's 50-over World Cup in South Africa.

Root, who is currently preparing for the third Test against Pakistan to secure a 3-0 series win, praised the 43-year-old's tactical knowledge and energy as beneficial for the team.

Pietersen previously assisted Root during his 2012 debut tour of India, providing guidance on batting against spin, and will now work to help the team regain their world title.
