Trump-backed Indian-American Republican candidate Vivek Ramaswamy lost the Ohio gubernatorial race to Democratic candidate Amy Acton.
Acton secured over 51% of the vote to become the first woman elected governor of Ohio, while Ramaswamy garnered over 45%.
Ramaswamy, 41, financed his campaign with over $36 million in personal loans and received millions in donations from billionaires Elon Musk and Jeffrey Yass.
