Gold and silver prices registered a slight decline across major Indian cities including Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, and Hyderabad on the occasion of Dhanteras.
In Delhi, the price of 22-karat gold dropped to ₹1,30,543 from ₹1,32,367, while 24-karat gold fell to ₹1,42,515 from ₹1,44,506, alongside a nominal decrease in silver prices.
Despite the price dip, the Confederation of All India Traders estimated that Dhanteras sales would generate over ₹1 lakh crore in business nationwide, with precious metals contributing above ₹60,000 crore.
