A court in Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh, cancelled a non-bailable warrant issued against actor and TV personality Rakhi Sawant on Thursday.
The warrant had been issued last week due to her failure to appear at hearings regarding a 2010 abetment of suicide case linked to remarks on her 'Rakhi Ka Insaaf' show.
Defence counsel submitted a copy of an Allahabad High Court order from December 2011 staying further proceedings in the matter, with the next hearing scheduled for December 1.
