Veteran South Indian film and stage actor Vatsala Rajagopal passes away at 93

Veteran actor Vatsala Rajagopal passed away due to age-related ailments in Chennai on Friday, October 30, 2026, at the age of 93.

Beginning her career as a theatre performer in the 1970s, she made her feature film debut in Mani Ratnam's 1992 hit film Roja.

Her extensive filmography includes roles in Sathi Leelavathi, Rhythm, Julie Ganapathi, and television daily soaps such as Chithi.
